failed

no matter how i tried to revive this resolution of mine about a blog a day for the year...it never ends up working out so im giving up now and ill just try to blog as much as i can about my random days seeing how i have SO MANY DAYS OF FREE TIME NOW!
so my contract ended on the 25th of May and to many they say i got fired but it was clear that it was a temp contract so not everyone would get an extension.

I was fortunate enough to get 2 days of notice about my end of contract so i had 2 days to do my last things of everything and say my good byes. I was still in such a bright mood even though i was leaving, no idea why but that was how i felt and everyone was comforting me! T^T it made me sad in the end because these words of comfort told me how i built a strong relationship and family with my co-workers even if it was for a bit over 1 month.

Most importantly they accepted me as their family even though i was a part time and i hardly saw most of them. Even before i left they told me to never forget that i am part of the UNIQLO family. What made me love going to work every single day was the people i saw on the flooor, always welcoming, joking around but serious and focused when the situation demanded that from them. Everyone had such a big heart to help everyone around them and of course some were a little selfish but i saw the positives outweighing the negatives...especially on my floor.

For a day or two i wondered why they chose not to continue with my contract...i had mixed reactions, happy because i have more time to focus on my final exams and sad because no income and also missing my amazing friends from level 1. But for the new year of 2014 i tried my best to see the positive in every single situation...leaving would mean im more motivated than ever to look for a job related to my course and also that since i left on a happy note i will forever cherrish the happy moments i spent with my team. To many 1 month is nothing and why would i even feel so emotionally attached to them? Well UNIQLO management might be horrible and unstable itself but the fact that the workers are trying so hard to work and help management achieve their goals was an opportunity for us to bond and become a family.

They always looked out for me and included me in so many social events. THank you for giving me such an amazing experience and a bunch of amazing friends! It was good that i left when i still liked the job because whenever i think back to it i would always smile about it. Of course on my last day the store manager treated me really badly, it did get to me but that doesn't matter anymore..she's not coming into my life anymore, it is the work mates i spent 7am mornings with and late night shifts with. She made it clear to me that i would not stay in such a company with such bad management and that my workmates are far more important to me.

As Shu had said, it is evident how much of an impact every one of us made on the entire uniqlo team, when people found out i was leaving, many were in disbelief and some even accused me of lying...well thats reality, nothing is always fair and as humans we have to learn to adapt to it and to soldier on! We can not stop and not go anywhere just because of a little road block or problem that wasnt going the way we wanted. It is a sign that i must / should move and i know i will learn more and have even more amazing experiences further down the track.

What did i lose? a job and the time spent with my uniqlo family
what have i gained? a lot, friendship, loyalty, the notion of caring and looking out for everyone and a family who i know will always look out for me and will always be happy to see me!
