Day 1
Arriving a tad early and being brought into the office with eyes darting straight at you was definitely nerve wracking! Day 1 was definitely a blur because i spent half of the day watching videos, 1/4 of the day meeting the entire office in which i was introduced to everyone but knowing me i remembered non of their names. Last 1/4 was spent surfing the net and familiarizing myself with the intranet. Day went pretty quick but I was looking forward to the next day because it as an intensive training day which i got to know more about the company.
I also made a lot of purchases before i started this job, and to my surprise they have come into great use!

Day went pretty quick but I was looking forward to the next day because it as an intensive training day which i got to know more about the company.

(still remember how this watch was an impulse buy when i bought it during my 30min break when i worked at UNIQLO, ive put it into great use now! its such a nice and presentable watch to wear to work ^_^)
Day 2
7.45-5.45. Yep that is my starting and end time for the first intensive training session. Bryn and I were the newest out of the entire group and it was nice how the trainer mentioned it non stop so we felt comfortable for not knowing much. When it came to naming particular aspects or people of the organisation, we always were given special attention e.g. oh it doesnt matter for you Nina and Bryn you've only been there for 1 day. The highlight of the day would definitely be the free food and the inspiration talk from the CEO himself. He spoke about his journey from being the not so smart sibling to taking on his father's business and now becoming such a humble, approachable and friendly CEO. He spoke about his 4 P's, persistence...something something (clearly i listened properly) but overall i got the impression that for someone to be accepted, their personality and abilities other than the skills they already have can attract employers to take them on board because skills can be learnt as you go. I was feeling this little bit of pressure thinking about how on earth would i fit in with this corporate world? With the talk he gave i believe it is a great company to start off with because they are teaching all of us with so much effort and patience.

Day 3
Today was my second day of intensive training and it only goes for half of the day with photos being taken as soon as we finished. My cold got worse and i was feeling so unwell, i was like is it even possible to come in the next day? but as the day went along i felt a lot better and was excited to catch up with my friend the next day. Alsssooooo i met my manager for the first time and gosh it was weird! I do hope i made a good impression but who knows ive heard shes nice so hopefully i can learn a lot from her! I was also given small tasks to do and so i guess im slowly getting there...still dont know what to expect but i can definitely say that people at this company are really nice! the most exciting part of the day was probably when i was asked to go to the bank since they needed to bank the cheques and thats when i got to chat to a workmate casually which was good because the past three days has been pretty tense because i simply did not know anyone. It was yet another lovely day of trying to get to know people oh and i also went lunch with friends! i found lunch buddies! Janice, Alan, Han and I went to eat at oriental spoon and it was a quick lunch which was interesting

LIsa bought me this because i started feeling really sick and it was good as it kept me awake during day 2 of training...i had my chinese meds yesterday and almost fell asleep during training ~.~
Day 4
Went to work early and manager started giving me more tasks to do and i love the fact that theyre all willing to help me and teach me almost anything. Im still a bit lost because this all sounds too good to be true but ill just take it as it comes because i can't ask for too much now seeing how im lucky enough to even have a job. But i was very fortunate to have 2 hrs of lunch today because it was a welcome lunch for both Alan and I. First group of people was good because we chatted more casually however the second group was hmmm not as comfortable because my manager was sitting right opposite me. BUt whatever, i had a great 2 hours of lunch ^^
At 5.30 people were asking me whyy i wasnt leavign yet but LOLLLLLL i only stayed behind because i didnt want to wait outside in the cold for my friend so i tried to make myself seem useful. ANyways as you can see in the photos below, we went to Meatball and Wine bar and the food is absolutely amaziziinggg!!! i guess the atmosphere and in particular company was superrbbb! So glad i went out to see Liv because it has been so long since i have seen her. We probably dont even see each other for more than 5 times a year but whenever we do see each other we have so much to talk about ... its neverending ! I think its been a while since ive had such a good solid catch up with someone because we had probably half a year of stuff worth catching up on. We said we would make it happen on a monthly basis so fingerscrossed hopefully it will happen! Also i am definitely coming back to this restaurant!

Day 5Last day of the week and omgosh i finally get to sleep in! woooot! left work early-ish for once and when i left work, heaps of people asked how my first week was going and all i could say was...it was pretty overwhelming with the information but nevertheless it has been an amazing experience as this is my first full time job and im looking forward to coming days, weeks and months and hopefully years!
But seriously the week went pretty quick! and as my work mate said ... it'll be a blur. i think the fact that i didnt know what to expect really made me feel insecure about everything and i dunno..it still feels weird how everything happened so quickly.
But honestly it came down to luck and i think wearing the bracelet my besties gave me really made me feel that luck was on my side! hehehe ^_^"
ive been wearing it everyday because back at woolies i know i would damage it or even lose it and at uniqlo...well i dont work there anymore so whatever. But i think it is finally time for me to wear it! i love it! it makes me think of them sometimes
also the cup is going to be the cup im taking to work because mum gave it to me as...i guess a gift for taking on a job! im excited!
Next chapter and new beginning! Really don't know what to expect but im glad i have people i can depend on when it comes to uncertain things that happen with work.
