Holidays started yesterday and guess whatt!!! I had another catch up with uniqlo again!!! Second round of contracts have ended and apparently more people have been cut...its so sad hearing these cuts because some of them absolutely love the job and its so disappointing seeing that UNIQLO management is oblivious to this, especially now that they're opening a new store in Chadstone! They need these well trained people.
Other than that, it was another great catch up with friends! It wasn't as fun as last time because the crowd was different, but going out and pigging out on chicken was great nonetheless. I even went shopping beforehand and that made me happy hehehee^_^
Even before dinner, i spent a good 30mins walking around city on my own...in the deserted streets. It was actually so nice and peaceful ... well the streets i was walking on didn't have a lot of bars hence...no drunkos falling all over the place and creeps running everywhere. Then again its a sunday night and people have work early in the morning the next day.
Ever since i left, heaps of things have changed...people change...more people are being promoted and more people are gossiping about each other...argghh why can't we all just live happily T_T
Its more of the people expressing their viewpoint of the people being promoted and how some of them don't really deserve it...i guess if they're promoted they must have shown some skills and qualities that were valued by the leaders..i mean they wouldnt just promote them...but then again...as they're training...that means they're still not up to scratch. I could feel so much more tension between all the workers now...it wasn't like the usual opening period..everyone was so carefree and whatever with everything...this is normal though..everyone is basically competing with each other to get a spot in this company!
But i love how some of my friends have already found another job and wouldn't give a shit about whether or not they got an extension.
What really shocked me was a guy who didn't get his contract extended and was told literally 30minues before his shift ended that...that shift was his final shift and they were not going to extend his contract. LIke dude wtheckk! surely you could have been more organised and gave him at least a day notice? 30mins before his last shift? srsly? He didnt even have a chance to let it sink in and say good bye to his workmates.
UNIQLO needs to know how to deal with these situations..sometimes i am sad that i left yet at times im glad i didnt continue because apparently the shit management is still shit. Good to see they've tried so hard in maintaining their ways...
Aside from the negativity...IM CONSTANTLY THINKING OF MY TRAVEL ADVENTURES! not much has been planned but thinking of going out to eat all the time makes me excited!!! wooooo! ive been trying to ask my friends about where to go in singapore and korea...its sorta the same things ive researched so tripadvisor seems to be the one stop everyone follows...because the list ive made is basically the top 10 from that site and everything my friends are recommending are those top places. i guess now its asking them what to do ...rather than where to go. like anything thats cultural thats worth seeing? doing? Theres actually so much to plan especially with a large crowd. Arghh hopefully itll all turn out well! ><
What is everyone up to these holidays??? all i want to do now is sleep sleep and sleep...apparently heaps of ppl went out for drinks...i wasn't in the mood to do any of that..i dunno why..maybe cause i have some stuff on my mind im worried about. meh oh wells. sleep time!
