These holidays have been so relaxing and stress free (most of the time). There was this day or two where i felt so miserable because of the events and the dream. As my friend said...she'd be worried if i wasn't emotionally affected because believe me...i was so unresponsive and quiet throughout the whole day and usually i am not like that at all. Just the fact that my friend noticed it straight away made me even more teary...i know she'd always be by my side and all my friends would. arghhh don't know if i was just being extremely emotional that day but DON'T WORRY EVERYONE! I'm feeling a lot better now!
Aside from those two days...the rest of my holidays have been so rewarding! Rewarding ... in a sense...where i started to think about what i truly valued and discovered who my friends are and who i loved and wished to spend more time with. Life is full of ups and downs and that's normal! I felt happy then sad the next day...But i have just loved ..so so much every single minute that i'd spent with my family at home. Instead of filling up my schedule with multiple catch ups with friends, i decided to only limit my outings with 2-3 days every week. The remaining days of the week i'd be at home...doing whatever i can with my mum, dad, grandma and grandpa. Whether it be helping them with house chores...cooking, cleaning to little moments where we would sit together and chat or watch a drama. Hrmmm it is probably what my siblings refer to..as bonding moments? But during these holidays i realised how important it is to spend time with your family...the people who you have grown up with. You may have new friends, jobs and events in life but family is always there for you and will always love to spend some time with you. They used to take care of me and now...in return i'd love to start taking care of them in every way possible. Im not yet financially stable but there are other means of making them happy...and that is showing that you care for them and love them. Communication is the key to many relationships and i think spending at least an hr or two ...or how ever much time you can to talk to the people who care for you is something small that can immediately boost their mood.
I had a really rewarding chat to one of my close friends...and something she said enlightened me...don't just start loving those people a bit more when something bad happens...you should always care for them and love them. They were the very first people in the world to love you. To my parents, i love you unconditionally and i will always be there by your side because that is exactly what you have done for your babies. Actions do speak louder than words and through time i will show you how thankful i am!
