Today i watched Anh Do's new television series where he was in Scandinavia doing all sorts of things with the locals. He participated in the community events and just little activities that you usually would not see back in Australia. Even if it was small...say like..helping a kid out he somehow took a value from it and whenever he completed an activity he would take a photo as memory.
During one of his visits in ... some other place... he was talking to a famous writer...(i think it was...gosh i was paying so much attention) and she said something...they were chatting about the local community how they always look out for each other and then she said...one person may not be able to help everyone, but everyone can help one person. Living in such a selfless community can be so rewarding...iwas thinking...when i retire i want to move over there...everything is just so quiet and simple. None of the competitiveness i hear/see around me. But funny thing is i havent even started working and im already thinking about retirement teeehheeehehe
Watching more tv is actually more enjoyable than id though. THere was a time where i didn't watch any tv because i had all my asian shows with me. Boy have i been missing out!
Im looking forward to more of Anh Do's episodes of going around to these places! Its like an eye opener...seeing the world except...im not really there...experiencing it physically...maybe ill use it as a motivator for me to do things like this when i have the $$!
